Everyone can probably agree that 2020 was a very defeating year all around. Thankfully for us, Foxgrave didn’t slow down. Last year saw their debut vinyl release with their crosstown rivals, Dasterds, including a phenomenal 2 part animated music video by Austin Ashley of Sadware Computer Club. With the release of new music and no shows in sight, Foxgrave got busy writing and recording more songs to fill the void we are all most likely feeling.

With that pent up aggression the quartet honed their frustrations into “Snake Oil.” A 5 song single sided 12” record that is so refreshing and alive that you’ll have a hard time believing it was written during the disaster of 2020. Vocalist Caleb Shook brings relevant and poignant lyrics that aren’t ignoring the weight we are all feeling but, in true punk fashion, are refusing to let it keep him down. The band brings a unique energy in these songs that will get even the most stubborn and jaded listeners to want to dance and sing along. The album is dynamic and complex yet somehow still inviting in a way that makes these songs "easy to enjoy but hard to master," encouraging listen after listen.
